Dr. Borase is rare in my experience. He took his time to genuinely listen to my circumstances, personal preferences with a gentle and considered respect for them. He didn't try to insist on an outcome but acted more like a coach through my fertility journey always with my best interests at heart (not his). I recommend him wholeheartedly to other women who need a friendly ear from an esteemed Fertility Specialist to help them to arrive at the best possible outcome for them.

We first saw Mr HG Borase at the beginning of April, he was the first consultant we saw that gave us the answers after years of struggling to conceive naturally, he very quickly identified endometriosis and suggested I had key hole surgery (Laparoscopy and dye). We left feeling confident and happy that we was going to finally have answers as to why we couldn't conceive and what the possible issue(s) was. My operation was in September, everything was explained clearly to us prior, during and after my surgery, the operation went well leaving a little drowsy, cuts were incredibly small and neat and have a minimal amount of scaring. We had a follow up appointment following my surgery in November which to our wonderful surprise and complete shock we discovered I was 7 weeks pregnant which was wonderful news we could take and share with Mr Borase (thank you for our scan picture). We can truly say hand on heart that Mr Borase is an incredible doctor who makes you feel valued and that you matter and that you aren't just a number coming through the hospital door. Our little miracle baby is due, June 2020 - we cannot thank Mr Borase and his team for all the caring professional care we received whilst under his care we would recommend 100%. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts, Krystal & James

I first saw Dr Borase at the beginning of July. He was the first consultant I saw that gave me answers, after a year of checks. He very quickly identified an endometriosis around my left ovary and that I also had PCOS. He suggested a full MOT (laparoscopy and hysteroscopy) for me, at which I was devastated and gave me all his time to discuss all my options and what I can do while we wait for the op date. I left feeling confident and consequently had my operation by him in September, which went amazingly well and his stitches are so neat! He explained everything to me before and after the op too. We are now trying naturally for two cycles and keeping hopeful, but have been referred to Create for IVF too. I am sooooo glad I have Dr Borase, he is an expert in his field, knows what he doing, makes you feel like you matter and you’re not a number, always happy to listen, doesn’t rush you and is just great at what he does as is his team. I am looking forward to continuing my fertility journey with him. It’s so helpful o have one person dealing with all the aspects of my journey.

I am 32 and was first seen by Mr Borase 6 months ago when I found out I had an ectopic pregnancy. Mr Borase gave practical advice in terms of initially dealing with the ectopic pregnancy and subsequent fertility investigations as I was concerned around future fertility after having had the ectopic. My ectopic was successfully treated with two rounds of methotrexate under the care of Watford EPU. After 3 months we were ready to try again and I went back to Mr Borase for follow up consultation to discuss my concerns and as I was still experiencing pain on my ectopic side. Mr Borase proposed an initial scan (performed by himself) to make an initial assessment. At this scan he noted I had a low follicle count and potential signs of endometriosis. Due to the low follicle count Mr Borase recommended a 'Full MOT' laparoscopy to evaluate endometriosis and tube patency. For me the laparoscopy was a very straightforward procedure and Mr Borase was able to identify and treat stage 2 endometriosis and check my tubes confirming that they were not blocked. Mr Borase advised to try naturally to conceive for 3 months and consider IVF after 3 months as better to start sooner rather than later with low follicle count. What we really appreciated about Mr Borase was that at each stage he presented me with a plan that gave us options in terms of diagnostics and treatment. Mr Borase presented these options without causing undue panic that we would not be able to conceive naturally but as a way for me to increase my chances to conceive. We have just found out we are pregnant my first cycle after the laparoscopy with Mr Borase and whilst it is early days we are extremely grateful for the help and support of Mr Borase and his team in getting this far!

We are so grateful for the amazing experience we had with Mr Borase. After wishy washy GP assumptions, he quickly diagnosed me with PCOS and possible endometriosis on our first visit. I hadn’t had a natural period in around 3 years at that point and within 3 months fell pregnant through a round of clomid. Sadly, that ended in miscarriage but I was able to have laparoscopic surgery where ovarian drilling and laser treatment for the endometriosis was performed. After that, I had my first natural periods in years and got pregnant again with my now 5 month old a few months later. We are both eternally grateful for the help we received both through the NHS and privately - the care was second to none.
